Introduction

What this blog will be about:
Different types of music can create emotions through their different tones and pace. This blog will explore how many types of music can help you cope with stress, different emotions, and what music creates what emotion.

Facts:
Performing arts (playing an instrument or acting) can increase the memory of students and their learning abilities. Singing or listening to music can help a student get through school (Brown, L). Music can reduce stress because of it's link with our emotions, making it an excellent tool to cope with stress. It can absorb our attention and can act as a distraction to everyday life. Singing can also be a great release of tension (Collingwood, J).

About the author:
I have a very big background dealing with music; I danced for 6 years and was in band for 6 years. Having social anxiety through most of my life, band and playing music with my band mates really helped me cope with the anxiety I was facing. If I was feeling sad or upset, going to band and playing up beat music really helped my emotion and by the end of the day, I was feeling very happy. Even today, dealing with all this stress with college, I listen to music to help calm me down and focus on organizing my life. I'm so dedicated to music and how its impacted my life, I have tattoo of a treble clef and bass clef. Without music, I would probably be an emotional wreck and possibly crazy.
